Speaker 2:All right, we are live once again. Thanks for joining us back, matt Kelly, matty Reiser, at WrestleMania Night 2. If you're confused as to why I'm saying welcome back and you're just listening to this thing here on Thursday, it's because we're live on YouTube and we are doing this thing back-to-back. We had a nice little 10 or 15-minute break, got fueled up on some coffee. We had a nice little 10 or 15 minute break, got fueled up on some coffee, and if you're listening to this as well on Spotify, apple, whatever the case may be, this will be the newest episode. So make sure you tell it back and realize that there is a WrestleMania night number one prediction show as well. Do you miss me, matty? You ready for night two?
Speaker 3:We're live pal. It's like I'm talking to psycho Sid to go all over again. No, dude, I'm pumped man. Uh, I think night one was a good conditioning to kind of get us ready for night two. Yeah, cause we were just talking about night one, like maybe one one let me down match. That's pretty good for a two night WrestleMania right off the bat.
Speaker 2:we're going to be fully invested night one and I think night two has the most intrigue, so I'm excited to talk tonight I really think, with the way that we're working through this card and the more that I sit here and talk about it and kind of play it out and go through all the storylines and whatnot I know that not everybody is going to be thrilled about everything and every portion of the build here to wrestlemania 41, but I think this is one of those cards where maybe you didn't enjoy all the build but I really, really think you're going to enjoy the WrestleMania card itself. I full-heartedly believe that I could be let down, I could be wrong, but this one feels good yeah, it's going to be fun.
Speaker 3:There's too many big names, so many like we talked last episode, snubs and so much intrigue, with the end of the night, the final boss, cena, going for the title. Golly, we got a lot of good, a lot of yum yums on this episode we are short.
Speaker 2:One big name, though, and we learned this just uh over the last couple of weeks, and that is Kevin Owens. Unfortunately, having to pull out of WrestleMania got something going on, some sort of surgery that he has to have. You know, reports are out there that he could be possibly out all the way through next WrestleMania. Now I don't know how accurate or where they're getting that information, but those are just reports that are floating around. So, certainly, wishing the best for Kevin and that he's able to get back and, you know, kind of pick up where he left off and when it's best for him to do so. But, with that said, it leaves Randy Orton presently without a dance partner at WrestleMania. Now we're recording this on Tuesday, it's going to drop on Thursday or if you're watching live on YouTube, then obviously you're hearing this right now.
Speaker 2:But Randy Orton, we don't know who his opponent's going to be. I imagine we're either finding out Friday or possibly, you know, maybe it's a Cody Seth sort of situation where he finds out when he's standing in the ring who his opponent's going to be. But I did have a good bit of intrigue there, matty, when Randy was talking to Nick Aldis and he's like, if you don't make my WrestleMania match, I fear for what's going to happen to Mickie James, who is obviously his real-life partner. And I said, ooh, ooh, baby. We went real personal, real quick and it immediately triggered for me with Chris Van Vliet and him asking Nick Aldis like hey, would you consider wrestling again? And he's like, well, right spot, right time. I can't think of a more right spot, a more right time than out there WrestleMania. Randy Orton Personally, that's who I'm hoping it is what do you think?
Speaker 3:Yeah, dude, I think that sets up perfect for a guy who is a very polished wrestler. We've seen him with a promo. He's damn near the GM of SmackDown. So it shows you he can talk and he can work. He was a TNA world champion, I think itDown. So it shows you he can talk and he can work. He was a TNA world champion, I think it was. Was it TNA or NWA, I can't remember.
Speaker 2:I think it was NWA.
Speaker 3:Yeah, big time, big time. Match here could be big time, and I don't even think all this has to win, but just getting your first taste of WrestleMania against Randy Orton, this is a big time moment for Nick Aldis. If Orton, this is a big time moment for Nick Aldis. If he gets the call, I think it's perfect for either Nick Aldis or you have a returning superstar or somebody who's recently signed. Maybe my only prayer is it's not my ex-tribal chief, solo Sokol, which is it's like some weeks.
Speaker 3:It's uh who. Who did we bash last time? Uh, baron Corbin, now it's. He's getting the wrath. Solo's getting a rap this time. It's unfortunate, but yeah, dude, who could it be? Is it going to be Nick? All this first WrestleMania match?
Speaker 2:Yeah, solo, solo had not crossed my mind. There's been reports out there and I don't know if anything is for sure confirmed, but apparently Rusev, you know, has been rumored to have re-signed with WWE. I don't know how much what Rusev versus Randy Orton really does for you. I think Rusev would probably get a pretty decent pop, but do you want him losing to randy orton? Do you want randy orton losing to rusev? Probably not right same thing with alistair black and I.
Speaker 2:I think they're both kind of in that same tier, the same conversation. I think they're both better saved for the smackdown or the or the or the raw after wrestlemania personally, and so it's like okay, well, who, who else is kind of left? They got Snub that we talked about. Is there someone that really really fits there with Randy man? I don't know what condition Aldis is in. I think he said he's ready, but to me I would be excited for it. And, to your point, he doesn't have to win, like he does not have to win at all. You know to have a good match there with Randy. He would lose nothing by still being the GM of SmackDown and losing to Randy Orton.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and I think it almost gives him more by just seeing him in-ring. Everybody's already conditioned to seeing him Now seeing him in a match. I think he's a good wrestler. I don't think he has anything to worry about, especially stepping in the ring with Randy Orton. And you do have Mickie James, which is a cool little throwback that maybe she could come out with him. Maybe he could RKO her kind of bring back that Viper. There's so much meat on the bone with this storyline if they really want to go that route.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's actually not a bad idea. I was going to say her in the crowd, but her coming out and being there and Randy eyeing her up for either an RKO or a punt or something.
Speaker 3:Oh man.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I think I'm kind of in on that. Now I hope for it even more. I hadn't even considered her being out there for the match itself. I'm assuming her contract situation will allow that, since she's been on been on LFG and whatnot. I'm assuming she's under some sort of WWE legends deal or whatnot. But yeah, I mean, I guess, if it's not all this, who you got another name?
Speaker 3:I don't think you need. I mean, if it's not him, I don't think Sammy Zane can. Really you don't need it. Yeah, not enough heel Orton necessarily to put this as a throw together WrestleMania match. I don't think.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I feel like it would be a little odd for Sammy to be the one taking Kevin's place, especially since how their feud played out Like it's not like they're buddies anymore. You know what I mean, yeah.
Speaker 3:Yeah, there's. Just it's a weird spot, cause Orton is such a over baby face. Yeah, the there's Alistair Black or Rusev, like it just doesn't fit. I don't think so. I think we're at, jeff, already, even like I think you got to go all this here.
Speaker 2:Oh, I didn't even consider like somebody from TNA because of their crossover.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Who's got the?
Speaker 3:history with them. You know that's. That's another thing.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean that's not a bad call, though. I just hadn't considered TNA, but it would need to be somebody with some sort of name value that's already tied into WWE, a nickname, something like that, but I don't think it has quite the same.
Speaker 3:Maybe say his name and he appears. Oh, okay.
Speaker 2:All right, okay, I'm counting on Joe Hendry. I'm counting on Joe Hendry. Oh okay, all right, okay, I'm counting on Joe Hendry, I'm counting on Joe Hendry.
Speaker 3:What a moment that would be for him.
Speaker 2:Holy crap. I mean, if you can't get to Cena, Randy Orton's a hell of a number two to get to at WrestleMania For your first Mania, you just get thrown with Randy Orton.
Speaker 3:Wouldn't even have to be like a minute match, Like just getting that spotlight, that shine with the Viper. Oh my God.
Speaker 2:Okay, that's my number two choice. You solidified that. I had not considered That'd be crazy. I'm telling you, man, I hadn't considered TNA and that's yeah, that's a good one. Okay, if it's not Aldis, I want some Joe Hendry. Let's get to the main card here. Aj Styles and Logan Paul is going to kick us off for the night Number two conversation.
Speaker 2:Now, night number two taking place April 20th, 7 PM Eastern on Peacock. You gotta remember it's over there on the cock. No Netflix, no USA, no CW, whatever the case may be, we're back to the cock. So get it on over there for WrestleMania, Biggest show of the year, AJ Styles. Four at wrestlemania, biggest show of the year aj styles, logan paul. Oh, baby, I am hyped up off of this coffee, apparently trying to get through, trying to get through show number two. But I, man, when this thing first kind of started playing out and when it first kind of took on the direction that you're like, okay, we're getting styles and paul at wrestlemania, I, I and Paul at WrestleMania, I, I will say I am not in love with Logan Paul's promo skills, but I am in love kind of with how they have approached this feud and how the physicality has been going and you're getting reminded of how good AJ Styles is.
Speaker 3:Dude, this is another one that could just tear the house down. Mike Yep, We've seen. We've seen the spots that Logan Paul I don't know if it's reminiscent of Hangman Page, but he is so damn good in the ring for so little experience. You'll hear it from everybody and AJ Styles might have been the best wrestler of the last 15 years. In my opinion, this could be one of the best matches of night to just from spots alone, Seeing these two lock horns.
Speaker 2:I think they're going to have some good chemistry. I think there's enough there in terms of uh and styles no pun intended, but in styles and just how they wrestled the match. But I think if you're talking about someone to take Logan Paul through a match, I can't imagine it's anybody better than AJ Styles. I can't imagine Logan Paul doesn't need this win. I really don't think he needs this win.
Speaker 2:I think AJ Styles is set up kind of for maybe one last big run here in WWE. I know he's been saying that. You know his time in ring is probably, is probably shorter than than a lot of people think, and so maybe he's coming up towards the end of his career, maybe going on one last big run here. But then again he also said that WWE, with him doing less live events, maybe it extended his career by a little bit. But ultimately I think he said he wanted to be done before 50, if I remember that correctly and he is quickly approaching that. So for me, I'm excited about the match. I'm actually excited about the entrances as well, which is something that we actually didn't talk about on night number one. I'm thrilled to see all of these entrances. That's like half the fun of WrestleMania itself, but I think AJ Styles wins here.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I think if you're trying to elevate aj styles, like you said, if we're giving him that last run, then take him out of that ray mysterio spot like, make it mean more. So I think that would be great. But if you're gonna just kind of go through the motions with aj styles and go ahead and pivot to the logan paul, so to me it's's just how how are we going to get this, this storytelling, long-term booking? I would love to see AJ Styles in the upper you know upper card so, but I think Logan Paul's getting a win here.
Speaker 2:Oh, really we're going to disagree on the first match again, I think it does more for Logan Paul than it does for AJ Styles.
Speaker 3:I definitely don't want to see AJ Styles dormant, but I just don't know if there's enough room at the top of the card for AJ Styles, even though it would be a great, great little story. You know, Logan Paul, like you said, doesn't have to win, but if he does, just knocking off a legend at WrestleMania, that's kind of a big deal. We're going to hear about it.
Speaker 2:I will say the Pulverizer, his finishing move pretty damn good, right, pretty damn good. Yeah, I don't think he can hit it on everybody, which is my only. I would say knock. You know, if you get somebody that's as big as maybe a Damien Priest or a Drew McIntyre, I think Logan might struggle to hit that move. But hitting it on somebody the size of AJ Styles looks great in ring. He nails it every time. I mean it's very crisp. It's one of the better finishers right now on the card, I believe honestly. Sin City Street Fight Say that three times fast. Sin City Street Fight Damien Priest and Drew McIntyre street fight. Say that three times fast. Sin city street fight. Damian priest, drew mcintyre uh, did they have to go this way because of drew's eye? Is that the whole thing? Do you think that that's the way that this thing is going?
Speaker 3:yeah, I mean, I think it adds a little level of intrigue to just what we've seen them, with them fighting on the cars and just kind of behind the scenes. I I think it adds adds a little bit to the card, with it being a street fight. You know, you've got McIntyre, who's been on the top of his game the last two years. You've got bisexual undertaker who's just kind of kind of middling. He's not quite there right now, but it's going to be a hell of a match. I'm excited to see it more than I was once. They once they kind of did the little physical altercation outside the ring. It kind of brought in more of a fan of myself.
Speaker 2:So I'm not gonna say I like it yeah, that that was actually going to be my next question for you, because I know when we first started this feud, we were like, uh, it kind of feels like mcintyre should have a bigger place on the card, and then I had talked about, you know, uh, the. The person that I'm most worried about going into Wrestlemania was Damian Priest, just because it felt like he hadn't quite found his footing since going over to Smackdown, and I do think that eventually, kind of uh, kind of Jey Uso Gunther-esque, right, like it just took him a while to get there. And now that we're there, and now that we're seeing this physicality, and now that you've got the thing with Drew's eye, and now that, with this being a street fight, it feels like it really kind of got there in the end. And I don't know if we're going to get anything additional on SmackDown out of this before WrestleMania, but to me they've both done a pretty good job of turning this thing into a WrestleMania match.
Speaker 3:Well, and that's what we need. We need an old-school street fight Like I want to be in Sin City. I want to be going through the crowd out in the parking lot in the middle of the casino fighting. I want to see all the theatrics that WWE does such a good job at. This doesn't have to stay in the ring, it can go out. They can even do this throughout the night, kind of like they did with the Goldust Piper or different matches. Like give me the theatrics that WWE is so freaking good at.
Speaker 2:You know what I just I swear to.
Speaker 3:God, Hit me with it. I want it. I swear to God.
Speaker 2:I just had this thought I want them to brawl backstage and I want the APA back there playing poker as part of the Sin City Street fight.
Speaker 2:I just want poker chips going everywhere. I want Bradshaw to deal him in. Yeah, I think that would be a fun little add-in there for this match. Who you got winning, though? Because this one man I really, really don't know. I felt pretty good about AJ Styles and I felt pretty good, for the most part, about what we talked about for the night number one. This one, I really don't have a solid lean one way or the other, whether it be McIntyre or Priest.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and I think it does more for Priest to win. I just think, I just feel like this is the biggest fumble of WWE in the last year Is Drew McIntyre.
Speaker 2:Oh, like with him, not winning.
Speaker 3:He should be involved in this. They should have had him a place. If you're going to put Punk and rains and Rollins together, you could have put McIntyre in that group, you know like he's just he's on that same level to me, like he's that good and that important to the WWE product.
Speaker 2:Oh, agreed, you got no argument for me there whatsoever on on that.
Speaker 3:So um but but like you said, where does Priest go if he loses this? Then you're fluttering in the mid-card, I guess, if that's where you want to be, but I think I just keep saying it. I think McIntyre needs to be elevated so much.
Speaker 2:I have a hard time because I don't know. Man, you're so right, I don't know where Priest goes, but if he wins, what are you elevating him to? Necessarily, I don't know. I don't think it's the winner of Cody Rhodes, john Cena that seems like a lot.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I don't know because, if you're looking at night two, that this is like kind of in that spot for, like you know, they're the semi-main event.
Speaker 2:I wouldn't say semi-main event, but they're right there in that upper mid card, right yeah, yeah, I mean I think, well, I don't know, it's uh maybe we do have money in the bank coming up, so things are gonna to change, but yeah, and we and I I stand corrected from the last episode or not the last episode now, but uh, episode from a couple weeks ago. So drew mcintyre is actually the most recent winner of money in the bank. Could he find his way back and that sort of thing? Maybe that that's where you know drew gets a successful cash in, or something like that, that might be it like actually we're getting we're getting the last two Money in the Bank winners here in this match, so you got that.
Speaker 3:We got Clash of the Castle coming up as well so there's, a lot of upwards trajectory for McIntyre win or loss. I think he's going to have plenty of chances. I think it's more, but I think you do have to have Damian Priest look strong here. But he did win the title on mania last year. I don't know, I don't know, I'm going to go drew.
Speaker 2:I'm going to go drew, I don't. I don't have a good gut feeling either way but I like the idea.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I agree with you Like.
Speaker 1:I, I just like, I, I agree with you.
Speaker 3:Like I just like Drew. I want Drew to win. I don't like that's a homer pick and I used to not like Drew McIntyre and now I'm fully invested in the McIntyre.
Speaker 2:Well, just like on night number one, matty, where you got your kind of one of your dream matches coming up with Jacob Fatu and LA Knight for the United States Championship, somehow I willed in the Intercontinental Championship in a fatal four-way Not in the ladder match, pretty damn close, but still got the fatal four-way out of this thing. Braun Breaker coming in as the champion versus Dirty Dominic Mysterio, penta and Finn Balor Can't believe we're actually getting this thing. I think it's set up to be a wild altercation. Now, like we said, we kind of think that Braun is meant for bigger things. Penta, you maybe don't need it. Really fun spot between Dominic Mysterio and Finn Balor. Finn Balor, likely not long for the Judgment Day after this.
Speaker 2:I don't know if you caught Maddie Finn Balor, I think made his entrance in what, to the audience here in the US, was not necessarily on the show, but he did the little you know pat on the legs and the arms up during the entrance, kind of a little bit of a throwback to you know face, finn Balor. There's been the demon lunchboxes a couple of times back there in the in the judgment day set. So I really truly think we are on the precipice of getting face ben baller back and I think, man, I was leaning dirty dominic mysterio so hard for this moment, and now I'm really torn. But I I do think breaker is meant for, meant for bigger things, and I do agree with you that Penta doesn't necessarily need it. So, man, where are you leaning with this match, or do you think Penta gets his here?
Speaker 3:Penta is definitely not the one I don't see. Okay, that leaves you. Know what do you do with Breaker if you do give him up the title? Where does he go from here? Is he elevated yet? Is it that time? Is it still too early? You keep the title on him and then the judgment day. We haven't gotten the fin dom feud yet. We see how big of a part judgment day is on tv programming, like they're all over raw non-stop. So it really comes down to the title. Do they need the title to feud over? We know Dom so good. Could you imagine him having an icy run? He's going to get it, but that icy belt could make him into one of the biggest stars in WWE if they book it right.
Speaker 2:Yeah, agreed, Agreed. I think it would be a really big WrestleMania moment. Now I'm starting to get in my own head in terms of us just making predictions here about how many title changes that we've kind of projected, and that gets a little scary, All of them. Yeah, exactly, it gets a little scary and I think you actually made a good point. And if we're thinking just a little bit past WrestleMania, right, you got payback as the next premium live event. So I think you may be on to something in terms of do you need Finn Balor, Dominic Mysterio, if you were to play out for the title? I don't think you do, and maybe it is just a smidge too early for Breaker.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I think that's the biggest thing is now yeah, now I think he holds on to it.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I agree. I if you would have told. When we were talking about earlier it seemed like Dom was the easy one what a week or two ago?
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:But yeah, you can. Only you can only elevate so many stars. I don't think it hurts leaving the title on Breaker and, like you said, next month's payback. We're still going to get a lot more of Judgment Day slow burn with this whole feud, and I'm enjoying it. I'm invested, so yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yep, yep, yep. That's where I'm leaning now For as yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's where I'm leaning now for as much as I would love dom to have that moment at wrestlemania. I do think it can wait and I do think you get that slow burn there with baller. And then penta. Penta is going to be beloved no matter what happens here, so I think breaker holds on. Uh, the women's tag team championship is on the line. Live. Morgan raquel rodriguez, liv Morgan Raquel Rodriguez, representing the Judgment Day against Bayley and.
Speaker 1:Lyra.
Speaker 2:Valkyria. What happened here, matty? How did we? I get, how we got here? There was the gauntlet match, which had some rough, rough spots the other week. I don't love it, man. I don't love it. It's one. Lyra's intercontinental title just feels secondary. Her run feels secondary. It's not getting defended. You're telling me you couldn't come up with a challenger for the for either women's mid-card titles now, because chelsea green hasn't been on the added to the card either. It just just feels very, very secondary to everything. It feels like a thrown-together tag team. I don't love this match.
Speaker 3:No, I mean the whole feud was Bayley versus Lyra, I thought Correct. I mean it somehow transformed to this. As much as I love Liv and Raquel as tag champs they're awesome I think they're definitely holding it down and keeping you invested. But, I don't see the point of this match really.
Speaker 2:I'm not digging it. Well, I like everybody in the match, right, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3:But like you said, it's watering down the mid-card. You got no Chelsea Green. You got Lyra in a tag match. At least make it title versus title or something something right?
Speaker 2:yeah, because I mean the person should, should lyra and bailey win. You know she's already not really representing the intercontinental title. Super well, I would say. I don't know why you would try to make her then go out and also defend the women's tag team titles. Uh, live in, raquel, or must see tv every single week. I don't see a reason for them to drop the titles here. Really, you know, for a while I thought we were going to get like some sort of you know uh four, some sort of fatal four-way, instead of that gauntlet match at WrestleMania or whatnot. Obviously that didn't happen, so you got this in front of us, but for me it's just pretty cut and dry. Liv and Raquel, you.
Speaker 3:Yeah, they need to do a better job of building like tag teams than the women's division. Like this shows you just how Raquel and Liv like I wouldn't say they're thrown together but I mean damn like they're yeah, no, no.
Speaker 2:Live and raquel have enough history that I I'm totally fine with them being being the team, but bailey and lyra, that just does nothing.
Speaker 3:And if bailey was the intercontinental title like that would bring some prestige to it, like agreed something. Or have her feud with chelsea green, like god. What title like that would bring some prestige to it like agreed something. Or have her feud with chelsea green, like god.
Speaker 2:What a match that would be yeah, I think, for whatever reason, they are pretty, pretty hell-bent on. You know, lyra keeping the title for a bit and maybe thinking that these wins will elevate her and it just man, something about this run for her just is not sticking, it's not vibing, I think it's it. It's going to be time to get that title off of her, pretty soon.
Speaker 3:I just like even for mid-card, like she just hasn't even her matches. They don't look as crisp as they could be in my opinion. So, just like you said, it hasn't connected.
Speaker 2:Agreed. Part of that's her, part of that's opponents' vibes just haven't been there. It agreed, part of that's her, part of that's opponents. Uh, vibes just haven't been there. So, uh, yeah, hopefully it's going to be on to bigger and better things and maybe she'll be able to cut her teeth with some different opponents. Uh, not in a in a in a title situation there.
Speaker 2:So, uh, the wwe women's world championship match, a triple threat match now eo sky, rhea Ripley, bianca Belair Bianca Belair, of course, the winner of the Elimination Chamber. Io Sky, of course, winning the title from Rhea Ripley on the lead-in here to WrestleMania, and then Rhea basically forcing her way back in after some shenanigans and some different matches and this and that, and so you have three of the top stars on the women's side all vying for this title. I want to like this match. I do like this match. I have a little bit of concern, uh, just in terms of how it's going to play out and who's taking the pin and you know kind of where things go from there and that sort of thing, but I think the match itself is probably set up to be pretty, pretty good.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it's just weird. It's a very weird match. Just the whole Io Skye is kind of being the afterthought, she's the champ. You have Bianca's heel kind of, and then you have probably the greatest female wrestler in wwe right now and ria, and it's just kind of weird, like how this is all kind of thrown together in the week, the week I don't know to me. I'm just not sure about it, like I don't know where they go from this the build has been wonky.
Speaker 2:How, how far removed do you and I feel now from remember weeks ago we were talking about? Oh, bianca definitely looks like she's turning. It definitely looks like maybe naomi is coming along for that. Naomi is obviously definitely turned, but it doesn't feel like bianca is fall following along with naomi at all, so much so that naomi is actually calling out you know bianca and some of her promos and whatnot. Um, I, I don't know that we're getting a full-fledged bianca belair. Uh, hill turn.
Speaker 2:I don't know what quite is going on with rhea ripley. I I do know that michael cole has went back to calling her the eradicator a bit more than mommy. I have noticed that over the last couple of weeks. I don't know if that necessarily entails anything, but it's just a little tidbit that I noticed that over the last couple of weeks. I don't know if that necessarily entails anything, but it's just a little tidbit that I've noticed over the last couple of weeks. And then EO sky. If you have, eo lose, um, what, less than 30 days, 30, 45 days after winning the title. Don't love that for her either. So I, I don't know what to make of this match and I, man have, I honestly have no damn clue who's winning yeah.
Speaker 3:And then I've heard a lot of like maybe it's underground the dirt sheets Bianca's undefeated at WrestleMania and she is your rumble winner. So I don't know. It's just so weird to me, like if you do have Rhea and you know Bianca getting each other's way and you know retains, it's just like what are we? We're just elongating the feud, I guess.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, I don't love that as an ending. If, if, yeah, bianca and Rhea just getting into each other's way, you kind of take their eye off of the ball and that's been the whole build up, right?
Speaker 3:Yeah, it's been the whole build.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's been the whole build. You would think it would be Rhea or Bianca finally settling up and realizing like, hey, here's the objective, here's what I need to do, and then go on and grabbing the title. Now I, I do. I have read the same things.
Speaker 2:You know that Bianca, undefeated at WrestleMania. Obviously they're, they're uh, leaving out a battle Royal or something that she was in way long ago. Maybe her first WrestleMania didn't win that technically, but you know otherwise in in singles competition or whatnot, uh, undefeated at WrestleMania. So I guess, if I had to lean one way which I mean, this is a prediction show, so I guess I'm required to do that Uh, I, man, I guess I'll lean Bianca. Yeah, I, I don't know, I don't feel great about it, but something about her retaining and continuing to win championships at WrestleMania. I can see that being a story that comes out and uh, and then she's got a lot of opponents, the. The question is, it's a lot like the roman reigns, cm punk, uh, seth rollins, triple threat, and you know who kind of ends up being the bad guy in this whole situation does it have to be bianca if she wins.
Speaker 3:I don't know, man well, and then we just got done talking about Roman being the kind of afterthought Right. Same thing could be with Rhea, right here With Rhea. Yeah, two biggest stars in WWE and are the least likely to win. Maybe I don't know, like I don't know, what Rhea's projection is Like. Maybe I'm just trying to book too hard, like down the road, but I think it's gonna be bianca and I think jade's still gonna have some kind of feud with bianca here.
Speaker 2:I don't know if she cost her the match or what, or naomi, or naomi and bianca, right yeah that's got to be the logical.
Speaker 3:Next step is bianca, with one of them. Like, there's too much history and story to be told. So then, if sky, sky retains, like, eh, like, what are we doing there?
Speaker 2:I don't know. I don't feel good about it. Yeah, I don't feel good about it, but I'm going to go. Bianca, what about you?
Speaker 3:Don't either, man. Maybe I'm asking too much. I just don't know what Rhea is like. Where's she supposed to go from here? Yeah, and don't know what rhea is like. Where's she supposed to go from here?
Speaker 2:yeah, uh and I don't want eo to retain, so I just think that's a waste of a storyline.
Speaker 3:All right, so we're defaulting to bianca here yeah, I think we have to like she won the rumble. She's undefeated at mania.
Speaker 2:Like history's on her side did she win the rumble or the chamber? You, you're right.
Speaker 3:Oh no.
Speaker 2:Charlotte won the Rumble.
Speaker 1:Oh, you're right?
Speaker 3:So yeah, you know, okay, but either way, give me Bianca, just like you.
Speaker 2:Yeah, all right Main event.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so far, pretty much Main event night number two, undisputed WWE Championship, the American Nightmare, cody Rhodes, against one of the GOATs of WWE all-time, john Cena. My goodness, how far we've come here in terms of characters for both of these gentlemen here. It did not in any way shape or form before we got to this this year, thinking Cena was going to win the Rumble, didn't win the Rumble, did win the Chamber, thought we were getting sort of a face-versus-face situation and we have what we've gotten with the John Cena heel turn. That said, this one is a whole can of worms, matty, that we might have to take a minute to discuss here, because in theory, I think I saw that john is going to be at smackdown, uh, this friday. So we don't know what's going to come out of john and cody if they have some sort of confrontation this, uh, this friday night on smackdown before wrestlemania. But I think what we've gotten out of the two of them or I guess we can say the three of them if we include the Rock has not at all been what we thought we were going to get after we saw what we saw at the Elimination Chamber.
Speaker 2:So we now have all the hindsight of 2020, of what John's character is, of how he's went about things, of all the promos in the build that we've gotten for him and this championship match at WrestleMania. What do you make of this thing, man? Because, like, the promo has been alright, especially the last time around, but we still have so much unanswered In terms of Is somebody else going to play a role in this thing? Is the Rock showing up? Is Travis Scott showing up? No idea.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I mean, I think the Rock's the big question mark in this right, I think so we haven't seen the Rock other than Minute and we've seen the Three Fingers. What's that mean? Is it we're thinking too much into this this long term? Everybody's saying the third man, there's got to be a third guy. You brought it up right after what Elimination Chamber, and I was kind of like oh, I don't know, but now we're hearing that and we're hearing all these rumblings.
Speaker 3:But I think to talk this match, you've got to focus on this guy first. What's his place in WrestleMania in this match? Is he going to come out with Cena? There's got to be. Is he coming out before Cena to sit ringside? What's?
Speaker 2:The Rock's role in this match. Do we get them on SmackDown by any chance? I mean, there has been absolutely there's hardly been any mention on WWE television, even even from the announced teams. There's hardly been any mention about the rock. He's barely been in the promos between Cody and Cena. Hell, he was on Instagram and like a new Japan pro wrestling shirt, solving a ruby cube or whatever the hell he was doing the other night, and so it's like is he invested in Wrestlemania 41? Like I truly don't know. I hope that he is, but then why did we have the entire build without him? That part I don't know and that's why there's still so many questions about. I would be shocked. I think the most shocking outcome would be is if we get a 20-25 minute match and it's just John and Cody.
Speaker 3:Yeah, yeah, I think God like I don't know. I'm so intrigued by it because we have we're. Are we expecting more? Yes, absolutely, like you just said. 25 minutes of Cody John, yeah, we could get it, but there's gotta be more to the story, more to why the Rock's involved with Cena.
Speaker 2:I'd be pretty surprised if Cena can just go for 25 minutes straight in the ring without some sort of interruption, without some sort I mean to date, right, there's no In the wrestle. Well, yeah, that too, but there's been no. Well, that will, yeah, that too, but there, there's been no announcement Like this is not a bloodline rules. This is not a no DQ. This is just one-on-one championship match, right, yeah, that's all we've heard.
Speaker 3:I uh there's gotta be some kind of. There's a reason you sell your soul to the rock. There's got to be somebody involved. At the end of night three Excuse me, night two I got an idea. I've heard the rumblings. Just ride with me for a minute, All right.
Speaker 2:You remember the three fingers by the rock.
Speaker 3:I'm certain to get. I have an idea, I've heard the rumblings and if this happens, I think the world would go crazy. I think it would be probably the biggest, craziest ending to night two at WrestleMania. Okay, so Cody has a history with this guy. This guy turns on Cody at the end of the night. At the end of the night, you have John Cena as your world champ, jay Uso as your world champ under the Rock. Oh whoa, the Rock's done everything in his way and now he's got both world champions and Jay's the one who costs Cody the title. Ooh, because remember they had that tag team run where they were title holders together.
Speaker 2:Yes, yes, that would be holy shit. What a roller coaster.
Speaker 3:You know how emotionally involved Jay can get in storylines with characters.
Speaker 2:What a roller coaster it would be from night one. Jay winning the whole crowd yeeting them. You know whatever shenanigans are going on in the ring in the midst of Cody and John right you think? Jay is coming to save him. Wow, we, it's a lot but I've heard it is a lot.
Speaker 2:It is a lot I, but I've heard it is a lot. It is a lot. I like it. The the only problem that I have with it is that we already haven't gotten enough of John and the rock together, right? So why are we giving the rock somebody else that he's also like I mean right, like I love the twist, but I don't. I just don't know what the rock is doing to manipulate right now.
Speaker 3:Um, but if if rock costs Cody the title, uh, then that would. I'd want some kind of clarity that it's going to be rock Cody at WrestleMania next year, or something Like I have.
Speaker 2:I have to get that loose. They're fucking minds. If we never get rock and roll, well, that way.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it just that's past, like well, and then that could be involved. I mean, there you go. I mean maybe Roman gets involved, but why would you do the whole thing with them coming back and being on Cody's side? I don't get that either. So, yeah, no no man.
Speaker 3:Yeah, no, no. It's an open book. When it comes to this, it's going to be the closer night two. This is going to be what everybody's eyes are on the finish. I mean, everybody already probably thinks Cena's going to win this title, but how is he going to win it?
Speaker 2:So that was kind of going to be my last question. We'll make a prediction because I know we're running up against it here and we've already. We already went 45 minutes, I think, on night number one and we're approaching that here with night number two and we'll get people out, uh, to enjoy the rest of their wrestlemania weekend. So, uh, you know there's been the rumblings about stone cold and some sort of involvement. We've mentioned that he's already going to be there, or I guess he's going to be there right for the uh, for the hall of fame, I'm assuming. Um, you know he's ballparked, that he's had some comments, that you know he's just right down the road from him. So maybe we get a little bit more involvement there. If we get that involvement, uh, is there any? Is there any way? Cody walks out.
Speaker 3:Champion yeah, i't think there is. I don't think you can do. You've had that climax last year with how it ended. I think if Stone Cold was there to save, it would have been last year against Roman Okay.
Speaker 2:That was the storyline.
Speaker 1:That's when it was needed this year.
Speaker 3:I don't think it has to be a third man. There has to be somebody else to cost Cody this time, whether it's Randy Orton, whether it's J Uso. I'm really coming aboard this Like do you think it rocks? To somebody else?
Speaker 2:But does that feel too similar to 39 and solo Sacoa coming out and costing him when he's trying to dethrone Roman, like possibly?
Speaker 3:I mean that's yeah, I and Solo Sikoa coming out and costing him when he's trying to dethrone Roman, Possibly? I mean that's.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:But that's the thing. I don't see John Cena winning a 20-minute banger against Cody Rhodes. Cody Rhodes is too good, and we've seen Cena how sluggish he looks in the ring. It literally looks like he's hitting the spots and that's it. So I don't know man.
Speaker 2:Yeah, now I'm very curious. I had not given real true credence or thought to uh the possibility of someone like a J Uso or a Randy Orton or you know uh whoever closed WrestleMania, this has to be an impact, Like whoever.
Speaker 3:this is a made man type of statement right here.
Speaker 2:I will say I hope Cody lays in that receipt on Travis Scott. Yeah, do we get K?
Speaker 3:That would be amazing. That would be. We've got to see that. We've got to see him just either hit Travis Scott with the crosswalk roads or something.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, okay, all right, let's get down to it. John Cena walking out with number 17.
Speaker 3:John Cena walks out with number 13 or 17 by the help of a third man.
Speaker 2:Man 13 or 17 by the help of a third man man, I. I will say this is the closest I've been to saying that Cody retains, but I'm gonna. I've had the gut feeling. Just the way that I've had the gut feeling with Seth Rollins on the main event for night Number one, had that same gut feeling for John scene. I just think it's too big of a moment, too big of a uh way to rewrite history, um, and I think it's just kind of the perfect storm.
Speaker 2:If john's gonna do it, I think it should be here, not necessarily summer slam or, you know, whatever the case may be on down the road, I think it's here at mania. So, all right, maddie, we did it. We got through two nights of wrestlemania. I think I'm gonna be more tired after doing this podcast for uh, for you know an hour and a half in the two nights of what eight hours of wrestlemania that we're getting, or whatever the case it may be.
